Who are we?
Africa Children's Fund is a Registered Charity (No.1114606) that was set up to help children from disadvantaged families in Africa and children from Africa living in the UK and in Zimbabwe.
As an organisation we pride ourselves in being able to feed, shelter, educate, entertain and provide holidays for children from poor families.
Our Directors have years of experience in working with children as some of them are teachers by profession.
We have projects in Zimbabwe and soon will be opening offices in Malawi then Zambia and next year Niger and Sudan.
Our Aims
- To relieve distress, hardship, hunger and promote the welfare of children.
- To support orphans, children born of HIV positive parents by paying for their medication , education and giving them morale support so they can feel part of the community in which they live.
- To help children who do not receive any social benefits in the UK and whose parents are failed asylum seekers and have their NASS support stopped cannot afford a decent life style.
- Help unaccompanied minors who come to the UK to claim asylum. Most of them will be coming from war torn countries and they need someone to listen to them and help them in starting a new life and live well along side their new found friends and neighbours.
- To run feeding schemes in Africa for disadvantaged children.
- To support children who are abused sexually or otherwise and report such abuse to the relevant authorities such as Social services or the police.
- To provide basic human requirements like clean water, food, clothing, shelter and education.
- Discourage children from engaging in anti-social behaviour mainly taking drugs and theft.
